Perfume Review ~ Daisy Delight by Marc Jacobs

The other day I went into Boots to buy a new perfume since my old one (FlowerBomb by Viktor and Rolf ~ highly recommend if you enjoy fragrances on the more flowery side like me) had run out. Some of the others besides Daisy that I considered while in Boots include Chanel - COCO Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum, Dior - Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet and Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy La Fleur. However in the end I decided to go with Daisy Delight which, when I smelt it I just had to buy it. It smelt like a field of fresh daisies had been made into a liquid so amazingly perfect for me.
The next day when I used it for the first time, to say the least I was impressed. It smell lingered for a long time and even at the end of the day I could smell it on my clothes. The whole day I got compliments from my friends on how I smelt! If you're like me and a fan of flowery scents I definitely recommend having this in your perfume collection.

Product Review ~ Laura Mercier - Smooth Finish Foundation Powder

I have bought the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder in the shade 04. When I went into Space NK to buy this product, the lady in the shop told me that this didn't used to be very good or as good as other foundation powders out there but ever since Laura Mercier re-formulated the products, it has become much better and stays on longer, gives good coverage but doesn't look cakey like the old formula did. She also said that although it gives good coverage, it doesn't look like you are wearing a lot of makeup (in a shorter version it looks nice and natural yet still gives great coverage). After hearing all this I thought it was worth a try so I went and bought it :)

One of the things I liked about this product is the packaging. To me, packaging is a very important part of a product and this had very sleek and minimalist packaging. When you open it there is a convenient mirror that is a good size and then there is the actual product.  Underneath the powder is a snazzy hidden compartment in which a foundation powder sponge is stored. I much prefer using my own brushes to apply this sort of thing but if you ever need a top up it's always quite useful to have that there.

The product itself was very good! It glides on very well, doesn't look at all cakey, the coverage is great but obviously not as good as an actual foundation coverage would be but it is light and hardly feels like you're wearing makeup. As the day went on it faded a bit but stayed much better than I was expecting. All in all, it was a great product and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a light, good coverage foundation powder.
